FOOT CONDITIONS DEFINED
Callus - a section of skin that has become toughened and thick as a result of friction, pressure or irritation.
Corn - a specially-shaped callus of thick, dead skin usually forming on a hairless smooth surface.
Bunion - an often painful swelling found beside your first digit (big toe).
Fungal toe nail - a white or yellow fungus that forms on your nail and can cause your nail to thicken or crumble.
Ingrown toe nail - the side of a toe nail grows into the soft flesh resulting in pain, redness, swelling and sometimes infection.
Ulcer - a shallow or deep open sore on the foot most commonly associated with diabetes and poor circulation.
Plantar Fasciitis - a painful inflammation of the plantar fascia, a fibrous band of tissue on the bottom of the foot that helps to support the arch.
Wart - a small, hard, benign growth on the skin, caused by a virus.
Hallux Abducto Valgus (HAV) - commonly referred to as a bunion, deviation of the big toe (Hallux) towards the outside of the foot
Ganglion Cyst - Soft tissue lump, usually occurring near tendons in joints. Caused by leakage of joint fluid.
